Matrix Snake
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
This game is a complete rebuild of my original game prototype on here (Big Damn Snake). I lost all the original dev files when the harddrive failed and just recently came back to the development of for the game. I had an entirely new concept that follows the same basic premise.
In Matrix Snake, you play as a Hacker/NetRunner who uses a custom AI Daemon in the form of a snake. This snake starts out on a Server Node as just a head. You navigate the snake around the Node, collecting encrypted Data Packets. Each completed Data Batch gets decrypted and added to the AI's RAM (this data is visualized as a snake body node).
You take the Data you collect and sell it, use that money to purchase upgrades for your AI Snake.
There will be ICE Daemons that chase you and try to retrieve the Data / destroy your AI Snake.
CONTROLS:
A/D - Move Snake left and right
W/S - Speed Up / Slow Down Snake
SPACE - Jump (feature works, uses not decided yet)
F - Interact (Doesn't work yet)
ESC - Toggle pause menu (nothing much here except for a few buttons)
